Welcome To Binary Gold Mine
Binary Gold Mine was created in April 2005 by Marcus D. Mercer to indulge in techno/ trance, call it what you will. The lure of swept filters, arpeggios, gorgeous string sounds and up-tempo beats was too much to ignore and in the spring of 2005 the first track of the first album was conceived and recorded and became the gentle medium-paced intro to what was to become Obsidian Cuts 1.
All of the tracks on this album are original recordings, only one, Liberty, was taken from a previous project and remixed/ reworked. To listen to any track, click on its name:

Obsidian Cuts 2 built on the foundation of the previous album. It used more ‘traditional’ analog strings and went for a big yet mellow sound, ‘lush’ is the word that springs readily to mind. All tracks are short enough to get straight to the point ans there are the album intro and outro in the form of ‘Sharp’ and ‘Sharp End’
